Words in praise
sung and said
and written oft
by those that saw –
the sunlight kiss
its sunny heart
the wind engulf
its tender arms
the frequent visits
from flirtatious bees
an occasional brush
of a butterfly’s touch
blessed dew drops
lazing on its skin
fragrant and alive
an effervescent smile
mine too, uninked
mirror the same
the inspiration though
is not the flower.

Lovely writing Vidur. Difficult to better Wordsworth, but I really like your different approach to a well-worn subject.

Thank you Roland ! This concluding verse remains deeply entrenched, and always inspiring.
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
