Like a flood
it flowed
into the
coveted spaces,
made vulnerable
by currents
flowing through
the veins,
fires lit
by matches
unboxed
unwrapped
uninhibited
but sure,
consuming
the waters
of untamed
rivers,
rising
and falling
like tides
pulled by
the divinity
of the moon,
reuniting
in volcanic
tremors
two lost
alive
invisible souls.
