to sum it up

 

I have seen the nights
sprinkled with stars,
the moon shining
in different avatars,
the rain falling
on the parched lips
of the waiting earth,
the vagabond clouds
kissing each other
as they pass,
felt the warmth
of the sun
on cold wintry days,
seen the seas that change
from murky greens
to celestial blues,
my senses so often
have been touched
my soul fulfilled
in different ways,
but as I slowly put
the sable brush down,
all the canvas had
was a picture of you.
