Turn back
walk away
it is the
the end
of the cliff,
there is
nothingness
ahead
some roads
taken, often
donโ€™t go
beyond

let go
of the fear
that comes
from standing
alone,
at this
seeming ends
edge,
this point
the thoughtless
motion
needs to stop,
and rationality
be given
precedence

enjoy the view
feel the air
rejuvenate
the self,
victory
is not always
in going ahead,
neither
is there
any defeat
in turning back

you’ll know
when you do
and they’ll
see it too,
there is
something
about that
precipice,
that returns
you back
with an added
edge.

Living life...as it comes!

  1. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿปyes!! Great advice. Maslow talks of self-actualization and a mountain peak to reach but I dare state “No one can live on the top of a mountain forever.” Or could/can they? I see the edge as a resting and the onward motion your personal mountain peak for others to climb. Anyhow, a great poem to contemplate. Plateaus, valleys and peaks. ๐Ÿ˜Š j
