beyond control

so,
it happened
a day before,
the air of life
was issued
to me,

a warning smile
by the beaming glow,
that though thoughts
may abound,
to keep consciously
the tongue in tow,

i promise i tried
for as long
as i could,
but you
were the test
i was ill prepared for,

the storm of thoughts
is now beyond control,
yet tongue tied
the statue stands,
pretending to hold
the advised balance still,

while in rebellion,
little words penned
in meaningful black,
slowly
sneak out beyond
these confusing controls,

disguised as waves,
ebbing away
from the stormy seas,
seeking you,
and your peaceful
shores.
