when i’m gone (audio post)

Don’t look for me
when I’m gone,

now the sky
is our blue,
but the sun
only shines on you,
and the wind
blows a kiss
just the way
I used to do

and though
everything
will tell you
that I am
still around,
but don’t look for me
when I’m gone.

now the music
will play
and people will
dance,
happiness will
ring aloud,
and when our
song plays
your eyes will
search around,
but don’t look for me
when I’m gone.

I always
held your hand –
and led you
to the floor,
no goodbyes
ever said
but yet we
had to part,
so don’t look for me
when I’m gone.

never enough

bright, bloody
red buds
wrapped in
glorious
ribbon art,

intoxications
of love
romance
and fairy tale
ends,
promises
exhanged
by starry eyes
colored in
themed rainbows
of red, pink
and white,

happy hearts
beating
to common
rhythms
doused in
the heady
cocktails
reserved
for only
one day of
the year,

as he
longingly
gazed up
at the
beautiful
sunset sky,
the weather
report
had said
tonight
she’d
be on time,

thinking
of seeing
her again
brought out
a big smile,
declarations
of love
happened
each time
her presence
shined,

marking days
for affections
was just
never
his style.

random moments
happen so rare,
when the world
disappears,
inconsequential
to those
innocent,
fleetingly
exchanged
glances,

the broken wings
of time
too
learn to fly,
as they listen
to those
deep conversations,
life discussions
in colors
of the rainbows,
ranging from
the deep earth
to the open sky,

tears revealed
pain shared
without a care,
ends up
toothless
when divided
between two,
smiles flashed
by knowing eyes,
silver linings
to those
grey cloudy
interludes,

jokes cracked
intentionally,
to heal the
cracks that
freshly bleed,
laughed at
in tandem,
the absence
of reasons
never good
enough,
to dispense
with humor,

random moments
just like that
in a random life,
once in a lifetime
linger beyond,
their
serendipitous
occurrence,
shining a light
like a beacon,
giving meaning
to those
moments,
becoming
worth more,
than their
deceptively
seeming,
randomness.

Smile,
like the sun
I know you burn
somewhere
deep within,
let those
fires out,
there are more
that need
your light,
than those that
add the fuel
to make your
insides churn.

Smile,
take a look
at the sun,
its been burning
since the day
its fires
were stoked,
imagine
the world
without it’s shine,
and may be
you’ll know,
mine without
yours.

eclipses,
said they,
can bring
incredible
changes,
meetings, or
partings
gains, or
closures,
an awakened
conscious
or just
revelations of
the hidden,

and so
they might,

but,
as I look up
I see you
no different,
for shadows
will often
fall on you
as on me,
but our sight
goes deeper
to the light
held within,
our eyes
see beyond
the visible
that is,
and sooner
or later,
we both know
it will,
shine through,
the shadowless
dark night
again.

hearts.jpg

A bitter sweet
cocoa candy bar
treasured with
the utmost
special care
was to be
shared with
another
who’d
barter a
matching same

but somehow
on the way
a push
a trip
and the poor
little fella
couldn’t take
the friggin fall
so it
a little
kind of broke
into those
million pieces

took it
back to the
magic shop
all the bits
all the shards
safely tucked
in a little
plastic
ziplock

with a smile
the chef lady
sweetly said
‘been waiting
for you dear,
for this is
where
you get to
pour it
all out’

so she
put it all
in a magic
melting pot
and a
magic-bit later
slowly
poured it out
in a heart
shaped
waiting mold

popped it out
wrapped it
with a ribbon
and a bow
and as as she
handed it
back to me
she whispered
a wee bit
seemingly
seriously
sternly –

‘you had
better
take better
care of it
this time,
for Valentine’s
discount
is only
available
to you
this once’.

Save

Save

There is something more
than just to quench
their thirst for water
that the roots weave
their three dimensional
webs beneath,

There is something
more to it than just
the display of
instinctive creative skills
when two birds
venture to build a nest,

There is a reason beyond
than just to add to
the beautiful scenery
when the water collects
as snow atop the high
mountain peaks,

There is a story behind
why the rain drops leave
the heights of the skies
to fall to an
inevitable muddied end
never again to be seen,

So there must be a reason
why amongst the billions
of breaths around the world
our paths cross only
with those chosen a few
that we eventually meet.
